Waiting on Wednesday #18

Pretty sure most people find their niche in the world during their high school years.. then feel at home so much they decide to shoulder off everyone else only to realise you actually need a bit of variety in your life. Okay, so I relate just a little too much with this book but I'm sure it'll make for an interesting read and what a wonderful cover :)

Life can’t be lived behind the scenes. High school sophomore Adam Zeigler thought the best way to live life was behind the spotlight. When his father died two years ago, Adam retreated into the world of the theater, ultimately winning a coveted place on the theater crew and finding (what he thought) was his place in the world, high above the theater floor in the lighting grid.

But then a young actress, Summer, appeared in his view. Instantly smitten, Adam is determined to win her over. But to do so, he'll have to defy his best friend and break the golden rule of his school: techies and actors don't mix.

Set against the backdrop of a high school production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, MY LIFE, THE THEATER is a theater story, a love story, and a bromance in one. The complexities of life, death, and high school are revealed as Adam struggles to find the courage to step out of the shadows and into the light.

My Life, the Theater, and Other Tragedies  will be released March 2011 by Egmont

This sounds like an AMAZING book! :) I'm a theater geek, so this totally made my day! Also, my school is doing Midsummer Nights Dream (for the second time!) this year so I thought that was funny too! :)
How cool! I haven't heard of this one yet.

The cover is pretty awesome. Man, just reading the description takes me back. 2 a.m. rehearsals, opening night, that tight knit little group of theater kids, the insane choice to move to L.A. - wow, I must read this book if for no other reason than to have a few moments of nostalgia.
I really like the sound of this one a lot. Thanks for being it to my attention Holly! :)
