In My Mailbox #42

I had another really great week in books mostly thanks to Nomes for offering up a few books for trade, I also received an ARC that I'm really excited to get reading plus a few older titles that I've been meaning to pick up. It's also worth mentioning the below books are sorted by my most anticipated. Enjoy :)
Photobucket
  • Jersey Tomatoes are the Best by Maria Padian | I'm really looking forward to this being a funny book judging by the cover/title but it also looks like it'll be really interesting with the pairing of sports, friendships and health issues.
  • It's Not Summer Without You (Summer #2) by Jenny Han | I was sweetly surprised by the first book in this series so I'm stoked to get reading the sequel and eagerly anticipating the third release.
Photobucket
  • My Ridiculous, Romantic Obsessions by Becca Wilhite | I read quite a few awesome reviews of this book so I couldn't pass it up, I'm surprised at how thin it is, actually but I'm sure it'll still be great. Oh and does anyone else have a problem with the font on the cover, it bothers me so much!
  • The Naughty List (The Naughty List #1) by Suzanne Young | Any book that promises to be fun and also rates high amongst bloggers is a winner for me, I can't wait to read about the cheer squad!
Photobucket
  • Ten Things I Hate About Me by Randa Abdel-Fattah | Everyone needs to go read Does My Head Look Big In This?, it's an amazing book by an Australian author which brings the muslim culture right down to teenage earthdome, I loved it so much and have been waiting ages to read the authors other books.
  • Thrill Ride by Rachel Hawthorne, Jan Nowasky | I'm a bit worried this book will fall flat as the summary is a to-do list for a music festival but I remember Princess Bookie raving about this author so I have to check it out for myself.
Photobucket
  • The Beginner's Guide to Living by Lia Hills | Photography, death of a parent and new love? I'm hoping this isn't too depressing but I'm always up for a good mystery.
  • Jumbee by Pamela Keyes | I'm not too familiar with the shakespearean world but I'm always interested in reading about people who lives in small island communities.

Out of all the books you received this week, what is the most and least anticipated?

I was really excited about receiving Eat, Pray, Love... I never even wanted to read the book until I saw that the movie looked interesting. Now I have to read the book so that I can watch the movie. Very strange, I know.

The book I didn't anticipate at all was a self-published book entitled The Affluenza Antidote. I had requested it from Bostick Communications a while back and had no idea it was coming.

I do that a lot with movies that are about to be released and I'm surprised at how many books are really made into movies!
Sadly, the photos aren't showing up for me. However, It's Not Summer Without You is one of my anticipated reads. Though I haven't read The Summer I Turned Pretty. I read Jenny Han's first (?) novel, Shug, which was a great, sweet, fun read.

I'd love to read Shug and you should definitely check out The Summer I Turned Pretty! Oh and I updated the photos just now so they should be working :)
Ooh! All these look like such FUN reads! I hope you enjoy-- I'll see if I want to add any of them to my TBR, depending on your reviews. ;) Book discrimination, eh? Ordering the most anticipated first... poor books at the bottom. :( Bahahaha. But seriously, hope you enjoy them all!
I can't see the photos, but the books sure sound great! I love the sound of Jersey Tomatoes are the Best haha though perhaps just because I lived there :) Great haul!

It'll probably have a totally different meaning to a local resident but I'm pretty sure I'm going to love it anyway.
I can't see the photos either but I really want to read Its Not Summer Without You and The Naughty List. Hope you enjoy all your new reads!

You have some great reading to look forward to! Here’s my IMMB
Fab books this week. Hope you enjoy them! My mailbox is here.
Great books! Jenny Han's summer series is one of my favorites and though I've read mixed reviews I personally found the 2nd book to be just as good as the first.
All of those look great! I've been wanting to read The Naughty List.
To answer your question, I think my most anticipated book was The DUFF, and it definitely didn't disappoint--it was so good!

Happy reading! :)

Briana
Bree's Books
AHHHHH, i see that you are reading RoA!! I love Simone and can not wait to read Return to Paradise. RoA is awesome and my favorite so far!
Those books look amazing! I hope you like them. My most anticipated one this week was Mockingjay - but then again, I only had two, and the other was Linger. XD

If you have time, check out my IMM here.

yay for so many awesome books. I've heard the beginners guide to living by lia hills is really extraordinary but a kinda full-on read :)

x
The Beginner's Guide to Living looks really good.
Omg, Randa Abdul Fattah has another book out?! I only read Does My Head Look Big in This, and really liked it.

Anyway, awesome books! Enjoy. =)
Hi Holly! Great books this week! I got Clockwork Angel, which I am super excited about.
The Naughty List was soooo cute and fun! I hope you enjoy it. You've got some titles I've never heard of. I need to write them down, lol

As for your question - I got four books and I've been wanting to read them all badly so good week :)
Great mailbox! I'm not familiar with Thrill Ride, but I have read other books by Rachel Hawthorne and liked them.

From my IMM, I think Jane is my most anticipated read, though I read Hunting Season as soon as I got it, and am more than 1/3 of the way throughClockwork Angel.
These all look great, I'm really curious about Jumbee! This week my most anticipated is Torment. Least anticipated...don't think I have one---loved them all this week! :)
I loved It's Not Summer Without You! It'll have you craving the next book, though :)
Not into the My Ridiculous Romantic Obsessions cover either. The title makes me think the cover could have been more elaborate and more romantic.

Great week!
Interesting books this week, many I haven't heard of and will be keeping my eye out for your review. Happy Reading!
Awesome books you got this week, Holly! I loved My Ridiculous, Romantic Obsessions. I hope you enjoy all of them and I will be looking out for your reviews. =)
I haven't read Does My Head Look Big In This? yet (I did get it from Audiobook Sync this summer so I'm hoping to listen to it soon, though) but I really liked Ten Things I Hate About Me.

My Mailbox post is here . . . while Hush wasn't the one I was most excited about getting, so far it's the one I'm happiest I did get
